: chilly!

i raced mansfield cross yesterday morning and it was 34 degrees when i left the house...brrr! by race time at 9 am the temp was up into the low 40's and i decided long sleeves and full finger gloves were a must. the race course was super gnarly! 2 dune crossings, full on 1 foot deep sand! 5 barriers to go over, 1 run-up, 1 rugged off camber section...a no-joke course! after a lousy start toward the middle of the pack i rode my way to a 4th place finish which i was really psyched about. lolli raced and i think he agreed that the course was pretty brutal. matt rode strong and was the best dressed as always! i had been feeling a little under the weather this week and my throat was raspy all morning before the race. sadly, t wasn't able to come out to the race so i have no photos to share...maybe next week? next up, opa opa cross sunday the 26th in danielson, ct...racing on home turf again!
