t and i wanted to hike somewhere we haven't been to yet, so we headed out to gay city. i used to ride the park and the adjoining case mountain trails all the time back in my high school and college days. i hadn't set foot in the park for almost 8 years until yesterday, but it felt like i was just riding there a week ago. i had the tripod in tow to take a few photos of t and i and work on some water effects photos. after the park t and i shot some photos of a waterfall beside the road a few miles from the east haddam house. a passer by stopped and said "if you want to see a real waterfall take that path" and pointed up the road a bit. so t and i took on the adventure, walked down the windy path into the forest, and low and behold a monsterous waterfall we never knew existed. amazing! all in all we had a really fun day and it was a great way to end the weekend. back to corporate america for the both of us this morning...wa wa wa!
