wow, super fun weekend of cyclocross racing and hanging out with friends and family! t's brother and sister-in-law were kind enough to let us crash at their place for the weekend cutting our drive to the race course down to 40 minutes. it was great to see john and anne and their 3 year old and 6 month old...kids grow like weeds!!! thanks so much for having us over guys, i greatly appreciate it! saturday's race #1 of the grand prix of gloucester was off the hook. 110 riders attacking a fast cross course at 9am is madness. after a rough start i ended up picking my way through the pack and placing 15th, which i was happy with. t's uncle came to watch with 2 of her young niece's...great to see more of her family! lolli gave it hell and battled his way halfway through the pack after starting in the dead last spot due to a last minute registration. props to him for riding all out knowing full well he'd have a ton of ground to make up. matt also rocked out a ghostship booth after our race...metal, megaphone, shirts and all. day 2 was going to be a tough one! i haven't ridden races back to back in a long time and they changed up the course a bit throwing in a nasty run-up. i ended up in 16th today in a field of 122 riders. today was harsh, lots of nasty crashes! luckily i finished and walked away with only minor cuts and bruises! good times! t shot tons of amazing photos that can be viewed by following the links below...
