we spent saturday seeing the sites of newport before t's art show reception at 5. we hit up fort adams, ocean ave., 2nd beach, and via via...the best pizza in town! mid-afternoon my folks made their way out to newport and we met up with them at the gallery. they got a sneak peek of the show and then we headed downtown for some lunch. it was super nice of my folks to drive all the way from connecticut to check out t's work and we had fun chatting and walking around newport with them for a bit. after parting ways with my folks around 4 t and i drove over to sachuest beach to kill some time. we looked like 2 surfers changing in the parking lot as we shed our jeans and t-shirts and put our "snazzy attire" for the art show reception and dinner at the black pearl. the show opening was great, so many people showed up and t had several visitors come through! dinner at the pearl was amazing! great food and great comical conversations with jason, el, and t's folks. we called it a night early and headed back to the mccurdy house for the night.
sunday i was up super early thanks to the time change. after breakfast t and i adventured around the bristol/barrington area stopping to take photos at various locations, feeding the ducks, and driving around colt state park. the afternoon was spent chowing down ravioli's and hanging out with t's niece and nephew. nothing better than a low key sunday to cap off the weekend. i shot a bunch of photos which can be viewed by
